Charles Blitzkie was born in Prussia and emigrated to the United States about 1853. He served in the Civil War and married Eliza Jane McKeever on 25 Dec 1864 in Taycheedah, Wisconsin. They had 5 children, Claude Benedict, Emma Irene, William Lucian, Elisabeth, Bertha Mae and Orlando D Blitzkie.
