Sept. 15, 1950, The Herald-Press, Saint Joseph, Michigan:
Charles W. Kemper of route 2, Berrien Springs, died at 10:50 a.m. today at Mercy hospital. He had been a patient for the past two and a half weeks.
Born on May 1, 1867, Mr. Kemper lived in Lansing for 45 years before coming to this community some five years ago. He is survived by his widow Edith, a son, Rev. Robert C. Kemper of Princeton, Ill., former pastor of the Congregational church in St. Joseph, and a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Prillwitz of Berrien Springs. Three grandsons also survive.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at the Kerlikowake funeral home.
