Mrs. Margie Hudgens Derick, 91, of Sharpsburg died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002 at Southwest Christian Hospice in Union City.
Mrs. Derick was born June 20, 1911 in Old Campbell County, daughter of the late S. L. and Claira Scarbrough Hudgens. She was a homemaker and a member of Lester Road Christian Church.
Mrs. Derick was the widow of Felton Derick. A son, James H. Derick, also preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be held today, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. in the Christian City Chapel in Union City with Minister Lester Shell officiating. Mrs. Derick will lie in state starting at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Fairburn.
Survivors include a son, Roger and LeeAnn Derick; daughter-in-law, Jean Derick; sister, Sarah Aldredge; grandchildren, Carol Vancil, Kenneth Derick, Gregory Derick, Joseph Derick, Judy Graff; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
