Bailia Tass (Baylia, Bayla, Bella), daughter of Jacob Tass was born in Irkutsk, Siberia. She married Fyvish Boxer in Irkutsk in about 1880. Bailia and Fyvish had 15 children in Siberia. Of the 13 sons and 2 daughters, only seven sons and one daughter survived to leave Russia. Bailia and Fyvish arrived in San Francisco from Kobe, Japan with their daughter, Sylvia, on the vessel Emma Alexander on 19 September, 1926. Bailia died of a cerebral hemorrhage on 21 September, 1941 and was buried next to Fyvish on 22 September.
