William Pinkney "Pink" Reese served in the CSA first as a private in Standridge's Company, Smith's Legion, Georgia Partisan Rangers. Served as Private, then Sergeant, Company A, 6th Regiment, Georgia Volunteer Calvary. Took oath of allegiance September 23, 1864 in Louisville, Kentucky. Deserted CSA.
