American Revolutionary Figure. Served in the Eastern Battalion of the Morris County (NJ) militia. The Guerin farm was located in an area known as Jockey Hollow - the same area that General George Washington chose as his winter encampment for the hard winter of 1779-1780. Guerin was suddenly visited with over 12,000 neighbors in the form of the Continental Army. He allowed the army to pasture some horses on his land, but wrote complaints to the Quartermaster Corps that soldiers had stolen both livestock and laundry from his property. The army withdrew from the Hollow in June of 1780.

Guerin and his wife Susanna issue: Nancy, Israel, Jane, Abraham, Peninah/Penina, Prissa, Phebe, Thomas, Aram, Parnel, John, and Susanna.
