Mrs. Bailey Brooks (nee Miss Mamie Thomas) died Monday morning at six o'clock of acute inflammation of the kidneys. Mrs. Brooks had been married only three weeks when she was taken sick, and died the following day.
She was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie K. Thomas, and having lived here all her life has many friends, who extend their sympathy to the husband and bereaded relatives.
Funeral services were conducted at the residence Tuesday afternoon by Rev. S.D. Logan. Interment in City Cemetery.
