Mrs. Alice E. Johnson, 65, of Route 1, Salem, died Thursday in a local hospital. She is survived by her husband, Elgin G. Johnson; three sons, Melvorn W. Johnson, Otis E. Johnson, and Glenville D. Johnson, all of Salem; five daughters, Mrs. R. C. Chittum, Roanoke; Mrs. R. E. Duncan, Ironto; Mrs. E. L. Rhodes, Mrs. Kenneth R. Bowles, and Miss Martha Sue Johnson, all of Salem; brothers, E. W. Galliher, Saltville; J. A. Galliher, Pearisburg; A. W. Galliher, Juliette, GA, and Floyd Galliher, Emory. The body is at John M. Oakley and Son Funeral Home, Salem.
