Cordelia was the second of Thomas Andrew & Martha Ellen (Gullett) Captain's 11 children.

Her siblings were: Thomas Andrew, Mary Ellen, Charles Selby, Sarah May, William H., Michael Francis, Grace Elizabeth, George Phileman, Martha Eveline, & Sophronia.

She married Everett L. Bowman.

"MRS. CORDELIA BOWMAN
Mrs. Cordelia Jane Bowman, 49-year-old wife of Everett L. Bowman and long-time resident of the East Side district, died in the government Indian hospital at Pawnee at 7 o'clock Friday night, the victim of a ruptured appendix.

Mrs. Bowman was taken to to hospital about a week ago and ad been ill for three weeks. She was an active worker in the Assembly of God church and had been a resident of the community all of her life.

Surviving besides her husband are four daughters, Mrs. Ozina Dixon of Cardin, Mrs. DorA Curtain of Peoria, Mrs. Edna Hoegerl of Dering, Kas., and Mrs. Cordelia Hutchinson of Pawhuska; four sons, John, W.R. and Woodrow of East Side, and Tom of Lawrence, Kas.

Funeral services will be held at the East Side Christian church at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The Todd Undertaking company is in charge.

The Rev. Leslie J. Moore, pastor of the Assembly of God church at Miami, will officiate."
