Alice "Jean" Wilson, 75, of Andrews died Saturday, July 30, 2005. A native and lifelong resident of Andrews, she was the daughter of the late Trent and Elsie M. Blaylock Adams and the wife of the late Charles H. Wilson, who died December 18, 1989. She was a homemaker and had worked for seven years at Clifton Precision in Murphy. She was a member of the Valley River Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Michael Thaxton of Snellville, GA; a step-daughter, Dana Hobika of Fruita, CO; a step-son, Charles H. Wilson and wife, Sheryl Wilson of Sarasota, FL; two sisters, Helen Rogers and husband, Rev. Jimmy Rogers of Young Harris, GA and Marie Collins and husband, Jimmy Collins of Lawrenceville, GA; four brothers, Joe Adams and wife, Margaret Adams of Murphy, Giles Adams and wife, Wanda Adams and Gerald Adams all of Andrews, and Roger Adams and wife, Judy Adams of Robbinsville, NC; seven grandchildren, Danyelle, Michele, Kayla, Grace, Clair, John, and Todd; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services at 2:00 PM Tuesday (Aug. 2) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with Revs. Jimmy Rogers and Harold Stiles officiating. Burial in the Valleytown Cemetery. Nephews as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews.

The family requests memorials be made to the Cherokee County EMS, 40 Peachtree Street, Suite 10, Murphy, NC 28906.
