Huldy was born in NJ, the dau. of Asher Tharp (1750?-1826) and Mary Trembley. Her family moved to Muskingum Co., OH by 1805. Huldy had a child, Asher Tharp Stilwell (1811-1890) before she married Thomas Sheldon about 1811. They had 11 children together. Around 1831 they moved to Holmes County.By 1853, when Huldy died, they were likely in Monroe Twp., Coshocton Co.
