Funeral services for Henry Campbell, 70, formerly of Allenhurst, will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Allenhurst Cemetery in Allenhurst.

Visitation will be Tuesday until 9 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

He was born in Allenhurst , Texas , Thursday, July 24, 1930 , to Lewis Campbell and Hannah Scott Campbell, and passed away Thursday, July 12, 2001 , at UTMB Hospital , Galveston , Texas .

He was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces. At the time of his demise, he was employed by Southern Cotton Compress in Galveston County .

Survivors include: six children, Charleston Campbell, Sr., Henry Campbell, Audrey Evans, Patricia Ndloun, Fredrick Campbell and Henry Campbell, III; six sisters, Alice Campbell, Maggie Thibodeaux, Lola Campbell, Ella Benefield, Helen Simmons, and Mary Spencer; and three brothers, Melvin Campbell, Hubert Campbell and Wilson Campbell; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Temple, Charles Nelson, Wilson Campbell, III, Charles Nelson, Jr., Leonard Gatson and Chris Gatson.
