William Lawrence Boyer, 77, of Petoskey, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at his home.
William graduated from Petoskey High School in 1954. He then married Zada (Beals) Boyer in 1955, and she survives.
William worked as a mechanic and retired from Johnson's Buses as the bus mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, playing cards and watching NASCAR races on TV. One thing he most enjoyed was watching electrical storms sitting out on the front porch with one or two of the kids.
William is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Thelma, and his two brothers, Robert and Allen Boyer.
He is survived by two brothers, Tom (Linda) Boyer, and Larry "Buck" (Claudia) Boyer; and two sisters, Bonnie (Robert) Dell and Robin (Dale) Anderson; his wife, Zada; his three children, Jinki Boyer, Jim (Kathy) Boyer and Jakki (Jim) Caviness; also by five grandchildren: Joseph (Sara) Broman, Heather (Darrick) Manville, and John, Shai and Ren Caviness; and four great-grandchildren, Alivia Broman and Tieler, Tailer and Tanner Manville.
There will be no funeral services at this time. A memorial service will be at a later date.
