Daughter of Howard Cooper and Lillie McCluggage, she was born in a farmhouse in Monroe or Tiverton Twp., Coshocton Co. She married Dallas Sheldon 28 Oct 1908 and bore him 7 children, six of whom lived to adulthood--1 girl, Monabelle, & 5 boys, Howard, Wilbur, Floyd, Sidney, & Donis. She was a housewife. She is a 1st cousin, twice removed, to author James Fenimore Cooper. Her father, Howard, was a farmer, and her grandfather, Alpheus Cooper, was a teacher & farmer.
