Patricia "Patsy" Baggett Thomas, wife of the late Robert Lamar Thomas Sr., entered into eternal rest August 1, 2013, in North Charleston.

Born September 23, 1935, in Augusta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Ellison Baggett and the late Blanche Crawford Baggett.

She was a member of the South Carolina Republican Party and she served in various leadership roles in Colleton and Williamsburg Counties. She also served on Greeleyville Town Council from 2006-2012. Her proudest political memory was serving as Chairwoman of the Colleton County Republican Party and being a part of the election of Governor James B. Edwards in November of 1974.

Patsy was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was regularly referred to as "DMom". She was a member of Greeleyville Baptist Church.

Patsy is survived by her two sons, Robert L. Thomas Jr. (Kathy) of Florence and Ellie Thomas (Janan) of Mt. Pleasant; daughter, Debra Thomas Price (Wayne) of Florence; sister, Lenorah Harvey (Buddy) of Moncks Corner; four sisters-in-law, Macquelan Baggett of Darlington, Bonnie Baggett of Santee Circle, Janice Thomas of Sumter and Sara Thomas of Columbia; nine grandchildren, Hunter Moxley (Carley) of Rock Hill, Shea Kimbrough (Josh) of Atlanta, GA, Robert Thomas III, Ellison Thomas and Bryant Thomas, all of Folly Beach, Alan Platt of Florence, Katelyn Giffin (Kyle) of Memphis, TN, Lexi Thomas and Ellisann Thomas of Mt. Pleasant; and a great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Thomas; and two brothers, Wilson Tate Baggett II and Robert E. Baggett Jr.

Family and friends are invited to share in a celebration of Patsy's life at 11 a.m., August 3, 2013, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with Rev. Grover Mixon officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Greeleyville.
