Mrs. Reva G. Farmer, 92, of Bovina, died Sunday, July 31, 2005, at Prairie Acres Nursing Home in Friona.
She was born on July 8, 1913, in Hedley, Texas, to W.F. and Martha Youngblood.
She married Earl G. Farmer on June 19, 1933, in Fort Smith, Ark. They moved to House in 1936, where they farmed. In 1965, they moved to Clovis, where she worked for many years at the Fashion Shop and Mildred Marie's Dress Shop. She was a member of the Melrose Lodge No. 30 Order of the Eastern Star and had been awarded her 50-year membership pin. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Family members said she was an excellent seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Rodney Joe Black; four sisters and seven brothers.
Survivors include a son, Dick Farmer (and wife, Bobby) of Denison, Texas; three daughters, Gerry Porter (Dean) of Midland, Texas, Carolyn Widner (Lawrence) of Bovina and Annetta Farris (Will) of San Angelo, Texas; eight grandchildren, Larry Widner, Terry Hunt, Linda Merritt, Laura McMillin, Richard Farmer, Cindy Tschudi, Diann Farris and Becky Addison; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruda V. Hardcastle of Phoenix; a sister-in-law, Nella V. Farmer of Bakersfield, Calif.; and a niece, Faye McDonald of Clovis.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
Pallbearers are Larry and Trey Widner, Josh and Jace Merritt, Richard Farmer, Keith Hunt, Clay Cristy and Jacob Daughtry.
Honorary pallbearers are Jake McMillin, Trey Farmer and Mathew Addison.
