Noah was born in Cuero, TX to George Leander Alexander and Annie Amanda Hill. He first married Nancy Anne (Annie) Grunewald on 26 Oct 1908. Nancy was the daughter of Martin Grunewald & Nancy Susanna Moore. She was born on 30 May 1880 in Weesatche, TX and died on 30 Aug 1910.

About 1913, Noah married Christina (Tennie) Wuensch, widow of Willie Alex. Tennie had 3 children from her first marriage (Homer, Sophie, & Abbie) and they had 3 more children (Mary Georgia & Walter). Noah and Tennie were divorced sometime between 1920-1930.

Noah was an oil field worker and is listed twice in the 1920 census - once with his family in Cuero, DeWitt Co, TX and again in Pct 2 of Wichita Co, TX where he was one of 31 boarders apparently working on an oil & gas project where he was a carpenter.

In 1930, he was living with the John Campbell family in Madison Co, TX where he was working as a farm laborer. His census record indicates that he was widowed at the time (actually he was widowed from his first marriage and divorced from his second marriage).

Noah moved to Houston, TX about 1932 and was living alone in his home on Bammel Road in 1940 and at the time of his death in 1944.
