She was born at Wild Rose on Jan. 9, 1909, the daughter of Erskine and Flora Woodward Attoe. She was graduated from Wild Rose High School, Waushara County Normal School, received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and was graduated from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.
Miss Attoe was a supervising teacher in Waushara, served with the Navajo Mission Schools in Arizona for 11 years, was with the Lodi Elementary Schools for 10 years, retiring in June 1974.
She was a member of Lake Wisconsin Evangelical Community Church at Lodi, Sauk Prairie Christian Women's Club and local, state and national education associations.
Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Leland Timm of Plainfield, Mrs. Reuben Unke of Lodi, Mrs. Gordon Senn of Campbellsport and Mrs. Raymond Luedtke of Lomira; and four brothers, Irving Attoe of Lodi, Osborne Attoe of Madison, Arnold, and Alfred Attoe both of Wild Rose. Two sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Lake Wisconsin Evangelical Community Church at Lodi with the Rev. Myron Higby officiating. The body will then be taken to the Wild Rose Baptist Church for 2 p.m. services Saturday with the Rev. Robert Griffiin officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Wild Rose.
Visitation for Miss Attoe will e from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hamre Funeral Home, Lodi and at Wild Rose Baptist Church from noon Saturday until the time of services.
