Jane Ruth "Ruthie" Gore, 18, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2004 at Perry Hospital from injuries sustained in a car accident. After attending Warner Robins High School, Miss Gore received a full scholarship to Middle Georgia College in Cochran where she played softball. She also played for many American Little League teams, the Warner Robins High School Softball Team and for the traveling Georgia Heat team. Miss Gore was a member of First Baptist Church Kathleen. Survivors include, mother, Donna Mullikin (Joseph), Gray; father, Stephen Gore, Perry; sister, Holly Ann Gore, Ft. Valley; brother, William Justin Gore, Perry; grandmother, Jane Gore, Leesburg; aunt, Hazel Stewart, Warner Robins; nephews, Victor and Landon Gore, Ft. Valley; many aunts, uncles and cousins. "Ruthie" was killed Friday night while backing out of the driveway of a friend's house on U.S. 341. She was a spring graduate of Warner Robins High School and a member of the Middle Georgia College fast-pitch softball team, was pronounced dead at Perry Hospital. Gore pulled into the path of a southbound "bobtail'' tractor the cab of a big rig not pulling a trailer that slammed into the driver's side door. Her father Stephen Gore got a hug from Warner Robins High School softball coach Brenda Arnett during a ceremony retiring his daughter Jane Gore's jersey. On his left was Jane's sister Holly Gore, brother Justin Gore and mom Donna Millikin. Jane Gore, a four-year starter for Warner Robins, was killed Sept. 3 in a car accident. The jersey was presented to the family Wednesday before Warner Robins' final home game against Peach County High.

She was greatly admired in her community and is deeply missed.
