OBITUARY ~

Perry Lewis

Services for Perry Lewis, 63, of Route 1, who died Friday in M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory.

The Rev. Temple Lewis, Baptist minister, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Oscar Fanning, pastor of Wylie Baptist Church, and by the Rev. Martin Lyons, pastor of Hamby Baptist Church.

Born Dec. 9, 1914, in Milam County, he grew up in Paint Rock and Ballinger in Runnels County. He married Juanita Watts Feb. 7, 1939, in Abilene. He was a well-known area farmer, having moved to the area 40 years ago.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, David of Richardson, and Don and Dan, both of Hamby; three sisters, Mrs. Glenn McGuyer of Diamond Springs, Calif., Mrs. Lewis Post of Suisun, Calif, and Mrs. R. B. Kahle of Route 1, Abilene.

Pallbearers will be Brady Parker, T. G. Pruitt, J. L. Poor, Dr. Ben Bradley, Johnny Linahar, Alton Whiteaker, Bryan Caton, Amon Aldridge, Frank Allyn, and Johnny Watts.
