Hans D NIELSEN DIES Buried Here
The happiness of the holiday season was marred for relatives in Ord when they received word of the sudden passing December 26 of Hans Nielsen at his home in St. Paul Minn. The cause of the death being heart trouble. Hans Nielsen son of Mr and Mrs Jens Nielsen was born Oct 1, 1885. He was baptized and confirmed as an infant and youth respectively.
He migrated to America, spending about 16 years in Council Bluffs Iowa and Omaha. He moved to St Paul Minn. where he made his home until his sudden passing, Dec 26, at the age of 52years,3 months and 25 days. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and a brother George.
He leaves to mourn his departure his step mother Mrs. Nielsen; three sisters, Mrs Bertha Larsen of Ord, Mrs Bodil Hawley of Taylor and Mrs Marie Hunt of Defiance Iowa, two brothers Niels Nielsen of Ord and Andrew Nielsen of Denmark and also a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held from Sowl's Chapel Sat. morning Rev Clarence Jensen of Bethany Lutheran Church officiating and burial was made in the Ord Cemetery.
About a year ago Mr Nielsen paid a visit to his relatives here, the first time he had seen them in eight years.
