• Emergene L. (Abbott) Klingensmith
Age 88, passed away on Nov. 11, 2009 at Rose Lane Health Center in Jackson Twp., Ohio, following a brief illness brought on by a stroke. Mrs. Klingensmith was retired from Bowling Green State University where she worked in the English, athletic, and security offices as a secretary. A long time resident of Bowling Green, Ohio, Mrs. Klingensmith had been a resident of Rose Lane since February of 1999. She was a graduate of Bowling Green High School and a 1974 graduate of Bowling Green State University.
Mrs. Klingensmith was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Klingensmith; her daughter, Sue Ann Underwood; and her grandson, Robert J. Klingensmith. She is survived by her son, Robert D. Klingensmith of El Dorado Hills, Calif.; three grandchildren, Jon D. Klingensmith of El Dorado Hills, Calif., Kevin M. Underwood of Rudolph, Ohio, and Karah M. Underwood of Bowling Green, Ohio; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Methodist Women of the Canal Fulton United Methodist Church or to the Parish Nurse Program of the Canal Fulton United Methodist Church, 363 Cherry Street W, Canal Fulton, Ohio. Arrangements are being handled by the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, Canal Fulton, OH.
