Mr. Edgar Lafell Campbell, Sr., 82, of Fourth Street, Jackson,was a native of Belton, having made Jackson his home for the past 48 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson where he was a Deacon Emeritus, a former Sunday School teacher and church treasurer.
Mr. Campbell was a US Air Force Veteran of World War II where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross and a retired supervisor of the computer department at E.I. DuPont Company at the Savannah River Plant with 31 years of service.
Survivors include his wife Kathryn Shiflet Campbell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Edgar L. and Linda Campbell, Jr., Jacksonville, Fla. and Philip S. and Debbie Campbell, Snellville, Ga.; four grandchildren, Melissa Campbell, Natalie Campbell, Joshua Campbell and Justin Campbell.
Interment in Southlawn Cemetery.
