Mrs Ethel Lauterbach Gorman, 84, of Fullerton died Saturday, August 11, in Anaheim. Mrs Gorman was born June 20, 1917, in Bartonville, Illinois, daughter of Henry Esdert Lauterbach and Clara Ardella (Cornelius) Lauterbach.

She married Maurice Eugene Gorman May 16, 1936 at the Bethel Lutheran Church at Bartonville. In July 1940, they built their home at 602 Sherman Ave., Peoria, Illinois. Fourteen years later, Mr. Gorman took a position with A-Door Sliding Glass Door Company and they built their new home at 1043 El Dorado Drive, in Fullerton, California.

Mr. and Mrs. Gorman moved their church affiliation to the First Lutheran Church of Fullerton, where she volunteered her services as the Pastor's secretary for many years. Mrs. Gorman worked for several years at the Broadway Department Store in Annaheim.

Surviving are her son, David N. Gorman, of San Antonio Texas, her sisters Mrs. Walter (Ruth) Swardenski and Mrs. Leonard (Pearl) Lumberry, of Peoria, Illinois, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her husband, her parents, her sisters, Bessie and Viola, and her brother, Wilbur, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be Wednesday 10:00 at the Memory Gardens Memorial Park, 435 West Central Ave. in Brea. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 Wednesday morning.
