-Dorothy Rowan Lashbaugh, 91, of Dutch Row, Lonaconing, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on March 23, 1921 in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late Winfred James Rowan and Nina (Sluss) Rowan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard "Bud" Lashbaugh in 1990; and her 10 siblings, Evelyn, Edith, LaVerne, James, Ann Marie, Mildred, Betty, Win, Rosie and Billy. She was Catholic by faith. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her children, Denise Malone and husband Jim of Ridgeley, W.Va., Kelley Morton and husband Rick of Dayton, Ohio, Dennis Lashbaugh and wife Tancia of Radford, Va. and Kass Lashbaugh and husband David Potts of Lonaconing; four grandchildren, Lauren, Sam, Joe and Annie; one great-gandson, Henry; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Barton Fire Hall, 19120 S. Eutaw St., Barton, from 4 to 7 p.m. All family and friends are invited to attend. Dorothy did not want to have a funeral and asked that we have a party in her memory. Saturday would have been her 92nd birthday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950.
