Pleasant Green (Campground) Cemetery was read in 1981 by Mrs. Emily Walker and her team of volunteers. Their findings were included in the booklets entitled "Cemetery Records of Gibson County, Tennessee,” Vol. I and Vol. II. Emily wrote the following statement about Pleasant Green (Campground) Cemetery: "In this cemetery there are many, many small handmade markers. They are about the size of a building brick and stand on their end with a curved upper edge. They appear to be very old and are primarily located in the oldest area of the cemetery. . . . These stones are not footstones."

This memorial has one of the handmade gravestones. Any dates included on this memorial were taken from Emily's booklets.

Some of the gravestones have initials only and some of them have now deteriorated beyond legibility.
