Ottie Frank Motley Lynch, of Fruitvale, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 16, 2013 in Tyler. Ottie was born Jan. 9, 1927 in Elmo, TX to Malcolm and Vohnnie (Taylor) Cauthen. After graduating from St. Paul Nursing School, she worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years at Dallas hospitals where her caring and generosity was an intrinsic part of her success as a nurse. Ottie worked very hard to be the kind of person that served others-whether it was through her calling as a nurse, as a mother and wife and a servant of the Lord to others. She enjoyed life to the fullest and watched all sports. She loved to cheer for the Mavericks, the Rangers and the New York Yankees. Her free time was spent with loved ones and family for whom she cooked delicious meals and sewed wonderful creations in clothing. Any "get together" that Ottie planned, it was sure to turn out to a large gathering! She was a voracious reader-she read all books from classics to history but suspense filled stories captivated her attention. An accomplished gardener, Ottie worked tirelessly in her front yard to fill it with beautiful flowers and plants for others to enjoy. Her love of serving others through any earthly work was second only to serving her Lord and doing His will. Her tenderheartedness for every one she knew will be a memory forever treasured by all.

Ottie will be met in Heaven by her first husband, Charles Frances Motley, Jr.; her son, Tommy Frank Motley; grandson, Steven Douglas Dulgar; her parents, her 2 brothers: Malcom, Jr, and Marion Cauthen; and her aunt, Mary Sheats.

She leaves to celebrate her memory her beloved husband of 39 years, Gene Lynch; her children: Emily Dulgar and husband, Stan of Colleyville; Markham Lee Motley of Lenexa, KS; John Charles Motley and wife, Cindy, of Lindale, TX; grandchildren: Leah Anne Jones, LeeAnne, Tara, and Abbey Motley, Grace Motley, John Ethan and Darbi Motley; brothers and sisters in law: Catherine Hoherstein, Tresh Mari and husband, Ed, Jim Lynch and wife Marlene, Tom Lynch and wife, Jean, Millie Gill and husband, Joe, and Cedi Bogard and husband, Skip, several nieces and nephews that she remained close to especially Margaret Jane Cohen and other extensive family and a host of very dear friends especially her very dear and closest confidantes, Nellie Ferguson, Margaret Mauk, Lou Gentry and Peg O'Neill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00am, Friday, July 19, 2013 at St John the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. James P Orosco as celebrant. Interment will follow at Elmos Cemetery. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:30pm, Thursday, July 18, at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm
