David Lee Patterson was born on March 10, 1951 in Rockford, Illinois a son of William and Dorothy (Benjamin) Patterson. David proudly served our country during the Viet-Nam War in the U.S. Army and his community as a foster parent for over 30 years. He was united in marriage to Victoria Ehrsam on January 26, 1974. She preceded him in death December 31, 2001. He retired from M.A. Ford after many years of service.
David enjoyed bowling, fishing and camping, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, friends and his "Minnie me" Noah.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
Survivors include his children and their spouses; Chrystal (Russell) Trout, Davenport, Paul (Samantha) Kissell, Dixon, Frank Patterson and Nicole Patterson, Davenport, and Tom Walters, Paducah, KY; 6 grandchildren; his siblings; 3 sisters, Janet (Steve) Clark of Oklahoma, Debbie (Mike) Irving, Princeton, and Karen (Michael) Solis, Davenport; 2 brothers, Robert (Cheryl) Patterson of Missouri and Steve (Linda) Patterson, Princeton; an honorary sister, Camellia (Randy) Pohl, Davenport; his mother-in-law, Nancy Ehrsam, Davenport and as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a brother, Brian and his father-in-law Frank Ehrsam and special friend, Robert Curtis.
