Nancy lived in her own home on 8th Street in Corbin, Whitley Co., KY until 1981. She moved to the Chapel House, an assisted living facility located in Corbin, Knox Co., KY when it was newly built. She remained there until she was 93 and she moved next door into the Christian Health Center a nursing facility. She celebrated her 100th birthday while living there.

Nancy was a Democrat and was quick to tell you and talk politics. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Corbin, Whitley Co., KY.
