Betsy Creighton was born September 28, 1828. She was the daughter of Rev. James Crews. She married Daniel J. Creighton March 1, 1849. They had three children. Two are still living: Thomas H. and Mrs. Grace [sic s/b Olive] Funkhouser. Betsy died February 21, 1901.

Betsey Creighton, daughter of Rev James and Elizabeth (Owen) Crews, was born in Massillon Township, 9/23/1829 and married Daniel J. Creighton 3/4/1849. . . . His death, which occurred 4/16/1872, was regretted as an irreparable loss to his neighborhood. To Daniel and our subject were born Emma J., 2/25/1850 (deceased); Elizabeth O., 1/3/1857; Thomas 11/29/1865. Subject has successfully carried on the farm since the death of her husband, having eighty acres of valuable land in a good state of cultivation, on which, by industry, she has been able to secure a competency for herself and children, giving them every advantage of education within her reach.
