Son of Melvin C. & Sallie Ella Elizabeth (ROYALS) RIGSBY. Married 27 DEC 1921 in Chattahoochee County, Georgia, to Eva May BASSETT (03 MAY 1906 Georgia-09 SEP 1992 Americus, Sumter County, Georgia), daughter of Curtis & Ella May (MOTE) BASSETT. Jack is father of two sons, who are in their parents 1930 census household in the General Militia Dist. #787 (Halloca District) of Chattahoochee Co, GA, next door to Jack's parents' household. After Jack's death, Ella May evidently married ca. 1937 to John William UNDERWOOD (22 JUL 1893 Pine Knot Dist., Chattahoochee County, Georgia-Americus, Sumter County, Georgia), by whom she had at least two children.

"Jack RIGSBY, of near Eelbeck, died Monday morning at 3 o'clock of pneumonia. // In addition to his wife, two sons, five brothers and one sister, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. RIGSBY. // Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock at Union church, conducted by Rev. Mr. CHAPPELL. Interment was in Union cemetery."
