OBITUARY :
ELI BURKETT GERHART, 814 Dale Street, died at the Washington County Hospital on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock after an illness of seven years, aged 73.

He was born and reared at Big Pool and was the son of Jacob A. and Rachel Anne (Myers) Gerhart. He had lived in Hagerstown for the past 50 years. He was a member of the Grace E.U.B. Church and the Men's Bible Class of that church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen (Schlotterbeck) Gerhart, and daughters, Doris, Mildred, and son, Harold, all at home; sisters, Miss Florence L. Gerhart, Miss F. Lucille Gerhart and Mrs. Sadie Fridinger, all of Atlantic City, N.J.; brothers, John L. Gerhart and Gustavis R. Gerhart of this city.

The body was removed to the funeral home of A. K. Coffman. Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. G. I. Rider officiating.

Interment will be in the St. Paul Cemetery, near Clear Spring.
