From Mathias' fathers' Will:
"I give and bequeath unto my son MATHIAS BRAY one tract of land where he now lives containing three hundred acres, price six hundred dollars also two tracts adjoining, price five hundred dollars, also tract of land where Thomas Younger used to live, price five hundred and twenty five dollars, also one Negro woman by the name of Plisent, price three hundred and seventy five dollars, also one Negro boy by the name of Jacob, price three hundred dollars, to him and his heirs for ever."
===
Catherine married Martin V. Fesmire and they had 8 children.
===
In the 1820 tax list, Capt. Lathams District, John Bray had 500 acres on Fork Creek. John had no white polls which indicates he was over 50 years of age.
In Capt. H. Brays' District were Methias Bray, Junr. 200 acres adj. William Waldon, Methias Bray of John 250 acres adj. Harmon Bray, Methias Bray, Senr. 405 acres adj. Harmon Bray. Methias Bray, Senr. was also over 50.
Capt. Brays District was in the southeast corner of Randolph County and Chatham County is to the east; Moore County is to the south.
Capt. Lathams District was directly to the west of Capt. Brays' District. It looks like Fork Creek was in both districts.
