Norma joined to School Sisters of Notre Dame September 7, 1946, where she was given the name Sister Mary Catherine Therese. Sister taught school during her time with the order, however, she left the order January 16, 1981. After her leaving she continued to teach until near the end of her life.
She is buried by her parents.
