Brooxie Marbel Means, 99 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Wednesday July 3, 2013 at Eldon Nursing & Rehab in Eldon, Missouri. On February 25, 1914 she was born in Etterville, Missouri, the daughter of the late Ernest and Marble (Browning) Graham. On May 31, 1942 in Eldon, Missouri she was united in marriage to Johnnie Ray Means who preceded her in death on July 27, 1982.

Survivors: daughter, Mary Anne Means of Eldon, MO; brother, Donald Graham of Rolla, MO; many nieces and nephews. Four brothers, Elbert, Homer, Curtis and Jack Graham, and a sister, Bonnie Collet preceded her in death.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eldon, MO, a member of the Red Hat Society & Eastern Star for over 70 years. She attended Gageville Grade School where she later taught school. She graduated from Eugene High School and attended Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg, MO. She was employed as an Elementary School teacher, a co-owner of Means Funeral Home in Doniphan, MO and owner of Means Fabric Shop in Eldon, MO for 29 years.

Visitation will be Friday July 5, 2013 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. David White officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Eldon, MO. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Eldon, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
