Honora Dineen was the daughter of Peter Deneen and Catherine O'Keefe.

Her mother died in 1860 at the age of 35. She is buried in St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Cemetery in Throoptown, Ontario.

Throoptown is half way between Merrickville, Ontario and Brockville Ontario.

After the death of his first wife, Honora's father married Johanna Powers the widow of Hugh Jenkins.

Honorah's father died in 1876 and is buried beside her mother in St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Cemetery.

A year before her father died, Honora was 22 years old. She married George Beamish on July 27, 1875. Her residence was listed as North Augusta.

When she married her religion was given as Roman Catholic while her husband George's religion was given as Canadian Methodist.

At the wedding the witnesses were listed as Theodore R. Cross (cousin of George Beamish?) and Jennie Jenkins - step sister of Honorah Deneen (daughter of her step mother Johanna)

Honorah and George Beamish were the parents of Gertrude Alice Beamish (Mrs. Frederick J. Boyd), Mary Elizabeth Beamish (Mrs. William Driscoll), John Harold Beamish (wife Eva Adams), Katie Beamish (Mrs. William Whiting) and Harry Beamish.

Honorah's maiden name is listed several different ways. On her gravestone it is listed as Dineen. Also, the obituary of her son J. Harold Beamish she is referred to as Honora Dineen. One of her grandsons has a middle name of Dineen.

However, on the gravestone of her mother Catherine O'Keefe the last name of her father Peter is spelled Deneen. On her wedding register her surname is spelled Denee although it was indexed as Dence by Ancestry.com.
