Anderson, Jan 5 - At the inquest held yesterday in the death of Arno Macy, who died in Greenville and whose body was brought here, the coroner's jury found that Macy came to his death by gunshot wounds inflicted by the hand of Calhoun Ware, negro.
The death of Macy came from an altercation which occurred at the Newell Construction camp last Thursday when Calhoun Ware, accompanied by Deputy Kay, went there to get Ware's younger brother who was working at the camp.
Mr Macy was a native of Indiana, was 33 years of age, and was foreman of the construction camp. He has been with the Newell Construction company about two years. He has his family living with him at the camp near Easley. His family consisted of his wife and five children.
The funeral services were held this afternoon and interment made in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Ware is in the Anderson jail.
