Long Illness Fatal to Member of Pioneer Family
Manuel Escajeda Jr., 44, a member of a pioneer El Paso family, died early today at his home, 919 Hills St., after a long illness.
Funeral services are to be held at 9 a.m. Monday in the St. Ignatius church with Rev. Fr. A. Blanchard officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen.
Mr. Escajeda is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Escajeda; his widow, Mrs. Ester Escajeda and four children, Manuel, Miguel, Esther and Victoria, all of El Paso; and four brothers, Ben, Pedro, Luis Alfonso, of El Paso and Moses L. Escajeda, Siege, Calif.
