William is not buried in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Pe Ell, WA. He is buried in the Pe Ell City Cemetery which has no marker up. I had him in the Pe Ell Cem., but Find a Grave moved him and removed the Pe Ell Cem. from this site.

William was my grandfather. I remember my mother telling me that he was a nice guy and he never had to raise his voice to get them to behave.

William moved from Missouri with his family, but was in love with Eliza Ann Gilmore. After getting settled out here he went back to Missouri and married her. He brought his bride out here and they stayed for about a month and she wanted to go back to Missouri. They didn't stay there too long before they moved back to Chehalis. They lived the rest of their lives in Lewis County.

At one point William worked for the railroad in Chehalis as a freight manager.

My mother's appendix broke and she was in the hospital for a month. Her father, William, sat by her bed most of the time. She recalls he must of been in a lot of pain as he died of cancer a little while after she got out of the hospital and he knew she was going to be okay.
