Miles Colwell, 89, of Pittston, died Monday, July 4, 2005, in Summit Health Care, Wilkes Barre.
He was born in Pittston on January 7, 1916, a son of the late Samuel and Catherine Haggerty Eshelman Colwell.
He attended Wyoming High School.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittston. He was a member of the Wyoming Monument War Veteran Association and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Wyoming.
He was employed by Woodlawn Dairy, Wilkes Barre, and prior to his retirement, he was employed as a welder by Pagnotti Industries, West Pittston.
he was preceded in death by a brother, William; and sisters, Mary Harding, Margaret Jakobowski, Ruth Brace, Muriel Chapman, and Dorcas Samuels.
Surviving are a son, Myles T. Colwell, Jacksonville, Florida, several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
