Etta Jordan Rigsby, 101

Centertown resident and Warren County native Etta Jordan Rigsby, 101, died Sept. 30 at NHC Healthcare.

A homemaker and a member of Bates Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a former member of Centertown C. I. C., she was the daughter of the late Jim and Mattie (Quick) Simons; and was preceded in death by husbands, Homer Jordan and Sterling Rigsby; sons, David and Willie Albert Jordan; sisters, Edna Hill, Jessie Simons, Fannie Gross, Minnie Byrd, Ruth Lance, Wilma Edwards and Naomi Roberts; and brothers, Frank, Abe, Joe and Howard Simons.

She is survived by sons and daughter in law, Louis and Joann Jordan of McMinnville, Donald and Pat Jordan of Indian Shores, Fla., and John and Joan Jordan of Decatur, Alb.; sisters, Alma Williamson of McMinnville and Dorothy Jean Hudson of Walling; brothers, J. D. Simons of Tyler, Texas, and Freddie Simons of McLoud, Okla.; nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Lynn Walkup and B.J. Hancock officiating. Burial will follow at Centertown Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service today at McMinnville Funeral Home.
