Chester, Jan 12 [1908] - Mr Jasper N Grant of the Rocky Creek section of the county died Thursday night of dropsy in the 78th year of his age. Mr Grant was a good, quiet citizen of industrious habits and was highly esteemed in the community in which he lived. He served through the War Between the States in Company B, Fourth Cavalry.

The funeral services were held yesterday at Armenia church.
