Haskel Winfree age 88 of Watertown died Friday morning, June 21, 2013 at Quality Care Health Center in Lebanon. Born in Smith County, he was the son of the late E.G. and Ovie Webster Winfree. Haskel was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Winfree; daughter, Shirley Edwards; sisters, Irene Allison, Mary Lee Tabor and Katie Eby; brothers, Gordon, Ray, Paul, Neal and Robins Winfree. Haskel is survived by a son, Larry W. Winfree and his wife, Anita of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Mike Farley of Jackson Hole, WY, Matthew (Jaime) Winfree of Snellville, GA, Micah Edwards of Atlanta, Michelle (Daniel) Warren of Norene, Tiffany (Jay Smith) Edwards of Castalian Springs, Valerie (Wendell) Walker of Atlanta, GA, Miranda (Brice) Eserman of Greenwood, AR; great grandchildren, Leanna and Dalton Warren, Mia and Ella Winfree, Zoie, Ellis, Xander and Brody Eserman, Maria and Molly Walker; son-in-law, Mike Edwards of Norene; brother, Donald Winfree of Rome; nieces and nephews. Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 at Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Trice officiating. Visitation 2-8 pm Sunday and prior to services Monday. Haskel was a farmer and mechanic and served with the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was a member of Saulsbury Baptist Church. Interment with military honors at Wilson Co. Memorial Park, Lebanon, TN.
