Edith Harrigill Fletcher, 94, of Hattiesburg, died June 26, 2013, at Wesley Medical Center. Visitation will be Saturday, June 29, 2013, from 2-3 p.m., at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, with services immediately following. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Mrs. Fletcher taught for 38 years in the Sumrall and Hattiesburg School Districts. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Retired Teachers Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wesley Fletcher, Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy (John) Fletcher-Beaver of Oak Grove; a son, Bill Fletcher of Hattiesburg; a brother, Fulton (Emily) Harrigill of Seattle, WA; a sister-in-law, Virginia Batum of FL; three grandchildren, Wes (Karen) Fletcher, Kimberly (Aaron) Smith and David (Brandi) Fletcher; and five great-grandchildren, Saylor Fletcher, Beck Fletcher, Kylee Fletcher, Hunter Fletcher and Tyler Smith. The family would like to give special thanks to Mrs. Fletcher's caregiver, Cleo Ezell. Memorials may be made to the Abby Rogers Civitan Camp.

There is also a memorial plaque/marker/cenotaph in the family cemetery in Hamburg, MS.
