"Rose FRANK was born April 24, 1841, and passed away May 8th, 1893, age 52 years & 12 days. She was born in Hungary. They came to America in 1859 [should read abt 1881 from now known as Gols, Austria]. She was a widow with two small sons Joseph FRANK and his brother Frank FRANK and landed in the vicinity of Crete or Kramer, Nebraska, where my grandfather [Bernhardt Henry KRAMER] built a house on his farm where the small town, Kramer, named in grandfather KRAMER's honor. He also helped her in many ways as they were very poor. They had no relatives except a grandmother GERLACH [this was in fact Rose's mother-in-law, Anna (MOSER) FRANK who m. Fritz GERLACH on 28 Sep 1870 in Lancaster Co, NE & is buried in Crete, NE, she was the grandmother of the two boys]. This was her second husband. I never knew what her first husband was. We called her our Aunt Rosie as she took care of me, when I was little I was the baby at the time when my sister Lydia was not born yet. I was eleven years when she passed away and now I am 95, soon to be 96 years old" - by Alvina KRAMER HINTZ (b. 1882 - d. 1981) of Crete, NE.
