A native of Ida, LA, Mrs. Whitehead, was born March 5, 1914 and passed away Thursday, March 3, 2005 in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Shreveport. Mrs. Whitehead was a retired teacher with Caddo Parish School Board and a member of the Retired Teacher's Association.
Her husband, G. Hunter Whitehead, preceded her in death.
Survivors are her daughters, Gwen Gibson of Shreveport, LA and Marcia Haworth and husband, Jerry of Haughton, LA; granddaughter, Katherine Solomon and her son, James of St. Peters, MO; grandson, Ken Gibson and wife, Kristin and their daughter, Catherine of Austin, TX; granddaughter, Cheryl Sullivan and husband, Dale and their sons, Thomas and Sean of Fresno, CA; grandsons, Clayton and Mike Gibson-Faith of Ypsilanti, MI; brother, Dr. George Byram and wife, Dot of Haynesville, LA; and sister-in-law, Billie Byram of Tallulah, LA.
