"Funeral of Mr. Adams Yesterday---The body of Peter H. Adams. who died last Thursday morning at his home in Erie, pa., arrived here Sunday afternoon on train No. 43, and was carried to the home of Mrs. S.C. Dodson, on East Market street, where the funeral was conducted by Rev. E.K.McLarty yesterday morning at 10:30 o'clock.
Mr. Adams was a former resident of this city, being a son of the late Peter Adams, who for some time lived on West Market street, across from the Greensboro Female college. The burial took place in Greene Hill cemetery in the midst of a very large number of friends of the deceased. The pall bearers were W.G. Balsey, R.M. Reece, C.M. Vanstory, R.G. Glenn, E.P. Wharton, J.W. Scott, Thomas S. Sherwood, and Neil Ellington. A son and daughter of the deceased accompanied the body to this city."
