Mary Carter Stephens 91 of Phoenix passed away June 3 2013. She was born the daughter of William Henry and Mattie (Downing) Auxier in Missouri.
Mary and husband Archie moved to Phoenix in 1948 with their two sons Bill and Larry raising them in the Sunnyslope area.
She had a full life with close family connections and was always there to lend a hand whenever she was needed.
She was preceded in death by first husband Archie Carter; second husband Francis Stephens; son Bill Carter; three brothers; five sisters; one nephew.
She is survived by son Larry; daughters-in-law MaryAnne and Suzy; grandchildren Brent (Eva), Melinda (Marc),
Craig (Debbie), Dwyn (Brian), and great grandchildren Alexa, Bil, Mallory, Colt, Merrick, Taylor and Carter.
She is also survived by sisters Doris Lytton of Agency Mo and Dixie Noland (Frank) of St Joseph Mo. Brother in law Bob English, Sister in law Lillie Buller both of St Joseph Mo. and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was an inspiration and role model to all her family and her incredible drive kept her going strong. We will all miss her very much.
