Mr. Floyd James Sexton age 90, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013, at the Huntsville Manor Nursing & Rehab Center in Huntsville, Tennessee. He was born January 5, 1923 in Cordell, Tennessee to the late Gussie and Mountville Sexton. Floyd was a Member of the Byrges Creek Baptist Church since October 1993. He worked for Norfolk Southern Railway for 45 years and prior to the railroad he was employed in the City of Oak Ridge contributing to the Manhattan Project. Floyd was a Loving, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Great Great Grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the Mother of his (4) Children: Alma N. Sexton; Son: James Marshall Sexton; Grandson: Roger Allen Sharp; (3) Brothers: Dillard Sexton and wife Willow, Homer Gene Sexton and Infant Brother James Sexton; (2) Sisters: Nadine Carroll and Oma Smithers and husband T.C.; Mother and Father-in-law: Archie and Irene Lewallen; Brothers-in-law: Cooledge, Eugene and Archie Jr.; Sister-in-law: Irene June.

He is survived by his wife: Mildred Lewallen Sexton; (2) Daughters: Patricia Jeffers and husband Rexford, Shirley Sharp and husband Roger; (2) Sons: Tony Sexton and wife Teresa and Mark Sexton; A grandson that he raised as his own: Floyd James Sexton II, and wife Jessica; (7) Grandchildren: Donna McDonald and husband Johnny, Steven "Bo" Jeffers and wife Rhonda, Cynthia Sharp, Heather Sexton, Cody Sexton, Jesse Sexton, Cole Sexton; (8) Great Grandchildren: Haley, Torey, Rayse, Kamden, Ashton, Nicholas, Jeremy, Nieka; (4) Great Great Grandchildren: Hayden, Lucas, Harper and Lauren; Brother-in-law: Olando Carroll of Ohio; several nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 4:00 P.M. until time of funeral services at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday Evening, June 26, 2013 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville with Bro. Carlie Duncan and Bro. Eli Crowley Officiating. Music will be provided by the Gospel Trio Singers. Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday Morning, June 27, 2013 at the Byrges Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
