He was born July 26, 1928, at Risher, Arkansas, to Orville and Mae Moody.
He was a farmer and raised purebred hogs and cattle. Alfred was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church and the Cattleman's Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Moody; and great-grandson, Tyler Morris.
Survivors include his wife, Ivaline Moody; sons, Terry (Margret) Moody and their daughters, Kimberly Tate and Jennifer McCormick, all of Jonesboro, Greg (Sherry) Moody of Jonesboro and Alex (Jodi) Moody and their children, Macy Jo and Max of Sidney; nephews, Danny Moody of Louisiana and Andy Maxwell of Illinois; nieces, Linda Kennedy of Louisiana and Teresa Maxwell of North Little Rock; cousin, Ray Gene Moody of Florida; and great-grandchildren; Emily Morris, Abby McCormick, Riliegh Tate and Sadler McCormick.
Graveside funeral services were held in Gibson Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
